My co-designer and I created this slim dress from trash bags and a discarded wedding dress. We cut the original wedding dress in half and separated the two pieces to give the base for the design you see above. The top needed more trash than the corset backing we gave it, so we attached long-draped trash sleeves. The skirt portion of the dress emphasizes our use of trash bags while still showcasing the tail of the original wedding dress. For a final touch, we made plastic roses and used them as accents on our final design's top and skirt.
